Lily Dale’s New Website
Check out our beautiful new website! http://www.lilydaleassembly.com/
Our thanks to Deb Swanson in the LD office, who
worked with Mirror Images Web Services
to design this interesting and comprehensive
website!
Snow Plowing Policies We would like to advise all residents that only the Lily Dale maintenance crew is permitted to plow Lily Dale streets, lanes and properties. The reason is that the maintenance crew is aware of hidden water shut off valves, boulders, lawn edges etc., and therefore this policy is designed to help prevent costly damages to LD property. Please do not call the Office, or ask our Lily Dale maintenance workers, to clear your driveways or sidewalks. It is your responsibility to look after snow removal on your own leasehold. If you are unable to clear them yourself, you must hire someone to do so. Also please be sure that snow is not pushed or blown onto our streets. Sewer Issue It appears that some sort of fabric is being disposed of through our sewer system and is clogging up the Lily Dale sewer plant. It appears that it may even be Swiffer Duster textured strips that are being disposed of, because the substance does not tear or dissolve. Nothing other than toilet tissue should be flushed down toilets - following this rule will help prevent costly repairs. Thank you all for your attention to these important matters!!
ANY SUSPICIOUS OR ILLEGAL
BEHAVOURS OCCURING ON LILY DALE GROUNDS SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE APPROPRIATE
LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.

From the 2008 Victorian
Weekend Committee
As you know Victorian Weekend (July 11-13) is soon
approaching!! On the evening of Friday,
July 11th at 8:15pm there is going to be a Victorian antique display
in the Fire Hall. Several tables will be
set up so that residents may showcase any antiques they would like to
display. We are looking for antique
dolls, quilts, toys, photos, books, lamps, clothing, linen, etc. You must be able to handle, carry and
transport these items yourself. The
antiques will be safe and monitored during that evening. Please contact Mark or Maggie Stark if you
have any items to display. Email piercearrowms@yahoo.com
or 595-2957.
The Victorian Weekend Committee would like to
borrow a dress form to display a 1883 wedding dress during the Victorian
Weekend. If you have one to lend, please
contact Carol DeChard, 595-3500. A
reminder to all men to grow mustaches, beards and mutton chops – 19 weeks and
growing….
On July 11 at 8:15pm in the Auditorium, there will
be a table showcasing spirit photographs which have been taken in Lily
Dale. If you have any photos of orbs,
ectoplasm, spirit, angels etc. that you would like to share, please contact Ron
Nagy at ronnagy@natsync.net
or 595-3044.
“Lily Dale Chorus”
Our
community is blessed with an
abundance of musical talent. If you are interested in adding your voice to
others, we would like to start up a chorus. Practices will be held on the second
and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7:00pm in the Assembly Hall. Anyone who is interested, please call Bob
Reuther for
information, 595-2638.
The Lily Dale Artisans
Guild
www.lilydaleassembly.com/related_links.php
The Lily Dale Artisans Guild meets every Tuesday at
11:00am in the Lyceum (except when we go on field trips) to create hand made
items to donate to Lily Dale organizations for fund raising. Bring a dish to pass for lunch – everyone is
welcome.
Fire Lanes
A reminder from the LD Fire Company that all
streets and lanes in Lily Dale are designated ‘Fire Lanes.’ Please keep every street accessible to fire
and emergency vehicles at all times. No
parking is permitted on Lily Dale streets.
Thank you for your attention to these important matters.
